Assisted living is a long term care alternative for the elderly who need more assistance than is available at home but who do not require the heavy medical and nursing care provided by a nursing home. Security and independence, privacy and companionship, physical and social well being are our primary characteristics. Residents receive, as needed, supervision, personal care assistance and health care services that emphasize their right to control their lives.
A combination of a healthy diet, exercise, mental stimulation and social interaction is the mainstay of our care programmes. Each resident will be assessed by a doctor who, in consultation with his or her family and ourselves, will prepare an individual care programmes. This will be updated every six months or earlier if required to ensure that he/she receives the appropriate care as his/her condition changes.
At My Manor security and safety are our primary concerns. Our facility is fully secured with entry by electric gate with a 24×7 guard on duty. A full security alarm system covers all windows and doors while security cameras cover all common areas and the exterior of the building. In addition there are smoke detectors and call assistance buttons in all rooms. Hand rails along the corridors and in the bathrooms help support residents as they walk, guided by our staff.
Our professional nurses and care givers are fully trained to meet the needs of our residents. Our staff will accompany residents for doctors and dentist appointments. We prepare a healthy breakfast and tea for residents. Main meals are provided by a reliable catering company.
